The Public Housing program provides affordable housing to over 1600 families in our community. Stretching across LaSalle County, the HALC owns and operates more than 1000 units of affordable housing. This includes a variety of housing sites including multi-family developments, scattered site homes and high rises.
The HALC has 8 high rise communities, each with its own architecture and surroundings, located throughout the community. Originally designed for senior living, they offer independent living in a community environment.
Included in this is:
- Monthly Activities
- Daily Meals Available
- Wellness Programs
- On-Site Laundry Facilities
- Community Areas
There are over 15 different additional developments scattered within our community, offering homes with up to 5 bedrooms. These are located close to parks, schools and other amenities.
Public Housing provides families, seniors, and peoples with disabilities the financial assistance they need to live in a safe, affordable and well maintained home.
